Company bike or company car – is that still the question today? Given the rising fuel prices, congested roads, and the looming climate crisis, more and more companies and their employees are opting for bike leasing through the Bikeleasing-service. The reasons for this are diverse, as company bikes offer employers a unique tool to achieve positive effects both within and outside the company. Especially attractive for employees are the financial incentives: When the company bike is financed through salary conversion from the gross salary, employees save one-third or even more of the usual costs. The monetary benefit is significantly lower due to the 0.25% rule compared to, for example, a traditional company car. Private use is explicitly allowed thanks to this regulation, even if the company bike is used solely during leisure time.
