GoodWe Launches its Warm Home All-in-One Solution in the UK market whose annual residential PV capacity is expected to double in 2026 compared to 2022 levels

Bonn, May 05, 2026: On April 29, 2026, the EUPD Group participated in a launch event of GoodWe Europe GmbH (GoodWe), a globally leading provider of photovoltaic energy storage solutions. The event focused on the presentation of GoodWe’s Warm Home All-in-One Solution to the UK market against the backdrop of the UK Warm Homes Plan, which was recently announced by the UK government. GoodWe offers a system that includes PV energy storage, EV charging, heat pumps, and intelligent energy management, providing the complete solution to make homes not only more sustainable, but also more comfortable, efficient, and energy-independent.

The UK Warm Homes Plan – Empowering the Residential Segment in PV and Storage Solutions

The UK government announced the £15 billion Warm Homes Plan in January 2026, targeting upgrades to up to 5 million homes by 2030. Approximately £5 billion is allocated to fully funded upgrade packages for low-income households, while a combination of subsidised zero- and low-interest loans and investment mechanisms will support broader household adoption of solar PV, batteries, and heat pumps.

Building on the Warm Homes Plan, the UK residential segment is structurally aligned for accelerated uptake of solar PV and battery storage. High retail electricity prices, among the highest in Europe, significantly improve the economics of self-consumption. Combined with 0% VAT on PV and storage systems and the Smart Export Guarantee, these measures lower upfront capital costs and shorten payback periods, while enabling households to generate ongoing savings or revenues from excess power. Installer behaviour reinforces this trend, with nearly all providers now offering bundled PV and storage solutions as a standard residential package in the UK, indicating a mature and integrated market offering, according to the EUPD Research PV and EES InstallerMonitor^© 2025/2026.

In the United Kingdom, annual residential PV capacity additions increased from 510 MW in 2022 to 919 MW in 2025, and are further projected to reach 1,062 MW in 2026. This steady growth trajectory reflects strengthening demand in the UK residential solar segment, supported by favourable policy and market conditions.

ESA Series Battery Storage at the Heart of a Complete Solution

GoodWe’s Warm Home All-in-One Solution includes the full range of residential energy products, including Photovoltaic Building Materials (PVBM), inverter and storage (ESA Series), EV Charger, heat pump, and smart management. The centre of this solution is the ESA Series All-in-One, combining a solar PV inverter with modular batteries and an intelligent energy management system. GoodWe applied its “4S System” in the development of the ESA Series, resulting in a silent, smart, secure, and simple operation.

With noise as a major concern for the integration of technology in residential spaces, GoodWe pointed out that even their 3-phase ESA models manage to run as low as 30dB* operating noise. In the UK market, GoodWe has successfully completed system compatibility and integration with Kraken. Kraken is the technology platform behind Octopus Energy’s smart tariffs (Intelligent Octopus, Agile, Flux, Go, etc.). At the launch event in London, GoodWe and Kraken held a signing ceremony honouring their new partnership. Once a device is integrated with Kraken, it becomes aware of and capable of responding to dynamic tariffs, enabling intelligent energy management. Marked as “Octopus-ready”, GoodWe’s new Warm Home All-in-One Solution can now help UK customers reduce their energy bills and unlock access to low-cost, renewable energy.

In the course of the event, Markus A.W.
