Save the date: 4th European Sustainability Week on November 23-25, 2026 hosted by the EUPD Group
The established sustainability platform welcomes ESG experts to the historic Petersberg near Bonn, Germany
Bonn, March 31, 2026: From November 23-25, 2026, the EUPD Group will host its 4th European Sustainability Week (ESW) in a row at the Steigenberger Icon Grandhotel & Spa on the Petersberg near Bonn. At last year’s ESW, more than 500 sustainability professionals from various industries engaged in meaningful discussions about main drivers, challenges and opportunities in ESG.
With an enhanced conference format, the ESW 2026 will be focusing on the energy transition, measurable ESG performance, twin transition, impact investing, future leadership and cultural change as well as corporate health management. The first conference day is dedicated to the Environmental Forum, which provides an in-depth look at the markets, technologies and policies shaping the energy and environmental transition.
One highlight of the ESW 2026 will be once again the ESG Summit on the second day of the conference. At the ESG Summit, current ESG topics will be addressed and roadmaps for the future will be forged in interactive formats. In addition, both the Environmental Forum as well as the ESG Summit will provide the stage for award ceremonies such as the ESG Transparency Award, the Energy Transition Award and the SolarProsumerAward, among others. The application phase for the ESG Transparency Award 2026 was started recently and runs until September 30, 2026.
Sustainability can only fully unfold when it is conceived and implemented collectively. Following this fundamental principle, the EUPD Group is now an active partner of the The Jena Declaration (TJD). The TJD represents an international call for a fundamental transformation in sustainability policy by shifting the focus from exclusively ecological factors to cultural and social aspects of everyday life. It argues that sustainable goals can only be successfully implemented when rigid top-down mandates are replaced by participatory bottom-up approaches that take into account local traditions and individual actions. The initiative is supported by a diverse network comprising science, culture and politics. Key partners include the World Academy of Art and Science, the Club of Rome and the World Capital Institute, among others. The initiator of the TJD is Prof. Dr Benno Werlen, Chair at the Academia Europaea – The Academy of Europe, UNESCO Chair on Global Understanding for Sustainability, Friedrich Schiller University Jena, Germany, will deliver the opening speech and set the thematic framework at this year’s ESG Summit.
The Social Forum on the third conference day will conclude the ESW 2026 and focuses on employee well-being and on how companies translate social responsibility into resilient organisations and long-term value creation. During the invite-only Corporate Health Award Gala Dinner on November 25, 2026, the accomplishments of companies anchoring corporate health in their business strategy will be highlighted and recognised with the prestigious Corporate Health Award for the 18th time in a row. The Corporate Health Award will be presented jointly by the EUPD Group, Handelsblatt Media Group and the Deutscher bKV-Service.
Detailed information on the conference programme, speakers and the ticket shop will be available here » later this year. Media representatives are welcome to attend the ESG Summit and will be able to register prior to the event.
