Since 2013, the Institute for Work Ability has been supporting companies and organizations in the sustainable and effective design of health and work ability. Its work covers the core areas of occupational health management: occupational safety, company integration management (BEM), and workplace health promotion (BGF).

The foundation of its work is the internationally established Finnish Work Ability concept, including the House of Work Ability and the Work Ability Index (WAI). This approach enables a holistic and structured view of work, health, and leadership and serves as a guiding framework for practical, hands-on consulting.

In addition, the non-profit subsidiary founded in 2018—the Society for Work Ability and Well-being (GAW) Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary—supports research projects as well as professional and educational events.
