Sustainability experts from Europe’s top employers with
established Corporate Sustainability initiatives – who have demonstrated their expertise in collaborating with sustainability and ESG service providers – nominate providers through a detailed survey. These providers must have made significant contributions to their success. All nominees are assessed across five key dimensions: service quality, employee expertise, cost structure, reliability, and likelihood of recommendation.

Nominations are reviewed and enhanced by the Top Brand
Expert Panel, comprising distinguished representatives from sustainability organizations, academia, and the environmental and social governance sector.

Nominated providers – exclusively those with excellent evaluations from top employers and the expert panel – can proceed by completing an online questionnaire. They must provide detailed information about their portfolio, service quality, employee expertise, and other certifications demonstrating their commitment to sustainability. 

Based on their extensive experience in research and practice,
members of the expert panel may exercise their veto rights to
exclude providers from the process after successful nomination
and online verification, supported by a detailed written justification.

Following online verification, a comprehensive audit is conducted to
review the providers’ offerings and verify the accuracy of their self-reported data.

After successful auditing, all Top Brands are recognized and publicly
listed to provide decision-makers across Europe with a clear overview of high-quality sustainability service providers. Choosing a provider certified as a Top Brand ensures organizations collaborate with highly recommended, trusted, and impactful partners in the field of Corporate Sustainability.
